Frequently Asked

All communications are kept strictly confidential and are in
accordance with appropriate federal, state, and local laws

How much does it cost?

We look for ways to keep total costs as low as possible without leaving out important parts of information gathering for your case. Typically, we will require a deposit to cover initial costs and before services begin. Please call for rates.

Do you investigate unfaithful spouses?

Priority is always given to family cases that involve the welfare of minor children. There is no guarantee we will accept a “cheater” case, but we also network with other investigators that may be able to help. Give us a call to discuss your case, initial consultations are free and fully confidential.

I have never hired a Private Investigator, what happens if I do?

Initial consultations are free and confidential. If we reach an understanding and accept your case, we will then sign an agreement. All investigations are kept strictly confidential to the fullest extent allowed by law, and no one may ever know an investigator was hired, depending on the circumstances of the case. We request to work closely with your attorney, if you have one.

How would CISWNC get information for my case?

Once an agreement is made, there are many ways we gather information, most of which are not available to the general public. GPS tracking mechanisms and proprietary information databases are two examples. Personal surveillance, covert digital video, and witness interview require experience and should only be entrusted to a licensed investigator that will make sure there is full compliance with the law and keep you, the client, as safe as possible.

Can I do my own recording or surveillance when I think someone is doing something wrong?

We highly advise that you leave surveillance and/or the placement of recording equipment up to experienced professionals. If you have the need for a camera security system, we partner with a reputable company who can do this for you. Click here: https://carolinasecuritytechnologies.com. If you choose to install recording devices yourself, you are at risk for being charged with stalking, or worse yet, violate federal law regarding wiretapping, even if you don’t mean to. This especially includes using computer programs designed to gather information from private email accounts, texts, passwords, or anything you do not have permission to access. You could be charged with a CRIME. Let a professional install recording and surveillance equipment.
